🌍 Exciting Progress in Zambia! 🌍 Review of the Lands Act, Cap 184 of 1995.
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, with the support of our EU-funded “Land Governance Support Program,” led by AGT, is actively conducting stakeholder consultations on the Review of the Lands Act, Cap 184 of 1995.
The first phase of consultations is happening right now in Kitwe, Ndola, and Kabwe, followed by additional consultations in Livingstone, Chipata, and Lusaka.
This key process involves over 100 diverse participants, including representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, trade unions, civil society organizations, Copperbelt University, the Fellowship of Pastors & Faith-Based Organizations, the private sector (especially legal firms and mining), local government, the Office of the Vice President, the Anti-Corruption Commission, ZNBS, and Times News.
It’s a collaborative effort aiming to improve land governance in Zambia, ensuring the voices of all stakeholders contribute to shaping the future of the sector.
