Development of a Central Asian Rural Telecommunications Strategy

Main objective of this consultancy is to lay the foundation stones of a strategy for universal access and rural telecommunications development in the Central Asian countries. Rural Communications Services (RCS) includes basic voice telephony but may also include a range of other information services including access to the Internet.
This project is an initial study into the issues of rural access to telecommunications. Its results will shape future activities in the region. It is composed of two phases: Phase I, Data Analysis and Problem Structuring and Phase II, Strategy Development. (As a member of the Consortium led by LEXJUS)
