Kerala Horticulture Development Programme
The programme, extending over a six-year period, has the following immediate objectives: i) to give the Keralite farmers supplementary income by increasing the implementation of high-value horticultural crops and providing improved planting material and packages of cultural practices; ii) to ensure that the farmers income will be optimised by improving the marketing of their horticultural products through the development of a modern processing industry and through the reinforcement of the linkage with existing corporations on the fresh market.
