National Marketing Surveys on Perishable Food Products

The study aimed at identifying ways of improving the marketing of both agricultural and perishable animal food products. To this end, a review of the existing market system was undertaken, together with an analysis of constraints to operational efficiency. The criteria for the selection of priority areas was based on principal types of produce and producing areas where the absence of suitable outlets has led to serious problems in marketing and distribution.
