The implementation of the EU-Syria Association Agreement: Adoption of Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary norms, food safety rules and plant protection standards

To enhance the capacity of the Syrian Government to implement and monitor the EU-Syria Association Agreement, and evaluate its possible implications. In particular to ensure that the proposed measures for implementing the EU-Syria Association Agreement are in place and in accordance with the legislative, institutional and communications requirements for the following technical components: (i) the creation of a SPS Notification Agency and a SPS National Inquiry Point; (ii) the adoption of Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary (SPS) norms, food safety rules and plant protection standards.
