Creation of a Vineyard Cadastre Albania
The broad aim of the project is to contribute to developing a system that will provide domestic vine and wine producers and processors with information on managing and establishing commercial vineyards producing wine of a higher quality.The Technical Assistance project will:· Assess the situation in the vine and wine sector· Support the updating of national legislation relevant to the sector· Establish a vineyard cadastre for Albania.The overall results of the project are:(i) Vineyard cadastre created in line with Council Regulation 2392/86/EEC and Commission Regulation 649/87/EC;(ii) National legislation regarding protection of geographical indications and designations of origin established in line with Regulation 2081/92/EEC (as amended) and implementing measures through harmonization with that of the EU;(iii) Semi-commercial and commercial farms registered.
