Reclamation of the Alluvial Plains in the Interior of the Norte Fluminense Region

Feasibility study for the reclamation of the alluvial plains in the interior of the Norte Fluminense Region and the development of rice cultivation in Rio de Janeiro State. The study consisted of a hydrological survey of the water basins in the interior of the Region; identification of hydraulic works required for the reclamation and irrigation of the project areas; a soil survey on 45,000 irrigable hectares; a topographical survey and mapping; and the definition of cropping patterns.
