Technical Assistance to Final Evaluation of the Nutrition Support Project

The overall objective of the evaluation is to provide a detailed and independent overview of the effectiveness of the assistance/ project actions and impacts achieved in meeting the objectives and/or expected results of the Nutrition Support project. The evaluation assesses the project against the five DAC/OECD evaluation criteria namely the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability and in line with the United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG) evaluation norms and standards. This includes a study of the project’s activities, outputs and outcomes since the project inception (August 2006). The evaluation is also intended to identify key emerging lessons and provide practical recommendations to the Government of Ethiopia, the EC and UNICEF for follow-up actions. The Commission will use the recommendations of the evaluation report as instruments to further improve the delivery of its assistance to address the food insecurity and malnutrition problems in the country.
