Established in 1995, Agrotec’s Procurement Unit has successfully completed more than 60 large scale supply projects financed by the EU, WB, ADB. IDB, AfDB, FAO, UN and the Italian Cooperation.

The activities of the Procurement Unit spread from the identification of potential suppliers in line with the end-user required technical specifications to the implementation of the supply contracts including logistics, preparation site, delivery installation and commissioning of the supplies. Through its strong relationship with the manufacturers and its worldwide network of service providers, Agrotec can provide authorized and certified staff training and local after-sale service of the equipment supplied in accordance with Manufacturer’s protocols.  In recent years, Agrotec has developed projects in a large variety of fields such as commodity supplies, agricultural machineries, processing equipment for agroindustry, medical equipment, photovoltaic plants, drilling of wells, automated fingerprint identification systems, along with its core business: the supply of scientific and analytical laboratory equipment. The latter covers the following sectors:

– Metrology and Quality Control 

In terms of the supply of agricultural commodities, within its fields of action, and due to its worldwide presence, Agrotec has established a network of producers and consumers of commodities and raw materials that meet reciprocal requirements and needs through a virtual market network.

Agrotec follows international markets and is constantly following up on commodity markets, raw materials, energy, freights and exchange rates. The company provides full scale advice on international contractual terms, freight rates and conditions for international transportation, from bulk to container transport, and also for the international insurance services requested by market operators.
